Assistant CAD Engineer - 6 Months Contract Role

We are currently recruiting for aAssistant CAD Engineer – 6 Months Contract Role for one of our client to be based out of their Dubai Office.

Job Purpose:

• Under general supervision, uses CAD and other drafting tools to prepare multi-disciplinary Fitout design drawings to facilitate tendering and Contractor works execution.
• Interprets and clarifies Engineers and Architects technical notes, instructions and ensures the completeness and accuracy of all data provided and complies with DA CAD production, layering and numbering conventions.

Job Description:

• Prepare new design and shop drawings of all disciplines (Civil, Architectural, mechanical, electrical & ELV) supporting Fitout activities.
• Ensuring service coordination across drawings.
• Obtain and assemble data from various sources to complete architectural, MEP, ELV etc. drawings, visiting job sites to compile measurements, explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary.
• Coordinate structural, electrical and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation in order to graphically represent building plans.
• Validate as Built drawings on site and flag to Technical Subject Matter Experts discrepancies for further investigation.
• On time delivery – liaise with Subject Matter Experts and commit to timescales for document production.

Skills:

• Higher Diploma/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Architecture.
