Job Description
Transguard is currently looking for an Assistant Facilities Manager- Hard Services. As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting all division operations on a daily basis. You will also ensure that any issues or conflicts are resolved satisfactorily in order to maintain the high service levels expected by all client and customer groups.
In this role, your responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the contract mobilisation
- Working with the Managers, attending client meetings as and when required and assist the Managers in obtaining the correct pricing for services during the preparation of new client and customer business proposals.
- Responsible for the preparations of the monthly staff meetings and also for the daily/weekly briefings with the Managers and Team Coordinators / Senior Supervisors.
- Responsible for carrying out monthly site visits and providing the necessary feedback to the Managers and Team Supervisors as required
- Working with the Team Supervisors to devise and conduct any induction and continuation training required for new staff.
- Maintaining and running the monthly budgets and P&L account for all division contracts.
- Responsible for planning all transport and accommodation requirements in advance of any contract start date
- Ensuring that all contract staff members carry out all company and division induction training on arrival
- Ensuring that all service level agreements within the contract scope of works are maintained
- Purchase requests must be authorised by the appropriate signatory before ordering any equipment or stock items
- Ensuring that all contract staff sickness, absence and holidays are reported thus adhering to all company policies and procedures at all times.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- 7 years or more in the field of Facility Management in a managerial position
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent degree in facilities management
- Good influencing skills
- Proven project management skills
- Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects-commercial and contract awareness
- Commercial projects Facilities Management experience is required.
- Both HVAC and mechanical background are required
