Assistant Manager - Underwriting (Liabilities & Financial Lines)

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager - Underwriting (Liabilities & Financial Lines) to be based out of their office in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibility-

• Follow up relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Assess and approve quotation for new business and renewal cases - that are within the underwriting authority limit.
• Review submissions for sub standard risks and to underwrite them as per guidelines.
• Provide underwriting support to operations / claims/ business development departments.
• Communication with clients for any query on underwriting.
• Following up with clients on renewals.
• Conduct claim analysis as & when requested.
• Verify & cross check big policies (over a defined limit) prepared by operations before sending it to client.
• Ensure confirmation from reinsurers before confirming any commitments to clients.
• Gather market intelligence regarding competition & new trends.
• Contributing in achieving departments target.
• Ensure profitable business is written through proper risk selection and setting risk adequate terms.
• Contribute to increase net retentions.
• Quality of service.
• Retention of renewals.

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree / charter insurer.
• 6- 8 years of experience in similar role.
