Job Description

Transguard Group is currently recruiting for a Commercial Director to join the team and be based out of our headquarters in DAFZA, Dubai. 

The Commercial Director's primary function is to improve, and both protect and drive, the profitability of the business by identifying risk and reward from new business opportunities, with both customers and the supply chain, right through the pre and post contract lifecycle. To ensure the end-to-end service delivery to all clients and ensure profitability of contracts.

Responsibilities 

  • Drive risk mitigation and fulfilment of client opportunities, driving profitability through support of business development activities: drafting, negotiation and closure of contracts, followed by dispute avoidance and resolution activity.
  • Ownership of key projects, particularly tier one customers and new service lines, while focusing on wider projects through the Commercial team, with an overarching strategy to upskill the Transguard workforce to be commercially aware and able to make good commercial decisions.
  • Ownership of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, property management and group (commercial and medical) insurance, ensuring that each function is able to respond to the diverse requirements of each part of the business, driving profitability within an acceptable risk threshold, whilst maintaining consistent policy and governance.
  • Provide leadership and expertise to internal stakeholders, supporting and facilitating business development and supply chain activities, in order to deliver sustainable profitable growth.
  • Manage complex client and supply chain contract drafting and negotiation, working with the internal business units, external parties and other stakeholders, as required.
  • Manage governance for both client and supply chain commercial activity across the business, ensuring all business opportunities go through the proper assessment, selection and approval processes.
  • Support go-to-market strategies for new service lines and the establishment of strategic partnerships.
  • Serve as a key member of the senior management team that sets the company's strategic direction.
  • Maintain knowledge of current market conditions and report findings to key staff within the business.
