We are currently recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer to join our Security Consulting & Integration team at Transguard Group.
Scope
The Security Systems Commissioning Engineer is responsible for implementation of integrated security solutions. In addition, this role is accountable for ensuring that all hardware is deployed and configured according to the design and the client’s requirements.
Responsibilities
Financial
- Provide accurate reports to the estimation team to ensure proposals are value engineered
- Adhere to established budget for projects, while ensuring efficient allocation of resources
Customer
- Provide training to end-users and fellow colleagues on the operation and maintenance of integrated security systems, ensuring a smooth transition from installation to day-to-day operations
- Identify risks at early stages and must have the ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently within a timely manner
- Interface with other systems and sub-contractors, in particular other security systems
Process
- Installation and Commissioning of a range of Security Systems Maintenance, fault calls and auditing on a range of Security Systems
- Ensure accurate, clear, and concise documentation at all times
- Always ensure the highest quality of workmanship
Innovation
- Responsible for refining skills, staying abreast of latest technology to optimize processes
- Keep up to date with advanced technologies and out of the box approaches to commissioning projects
- Keep up to date with IoT that can aid in enhancing performances, reducing project timelines
- Stay up to speed on training and certification of products
Size of Team: 7 employees
Skills
- Engineer Degree/Diploma holder in Electrical or Electronics or equivalent
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience including 2-5 years as a commissioning engineer in Security Systems & Networking
- Project execution/commissioning background with an understanding of detailed engineering of various security systems
- Strong understanding of access control, video surveillance, video management systems, structured cabling systems, networking, PSIM, UVSS, ANPR and intrusion detection technologies
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Certification in CCTV, ACS and Networking Systems
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Effective collaboration skills
- Should have designing/knowledge of IT infrastructure
- Proficiency in commissioning multiple security system brands
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
