Job Description, 1. Ensure compliance with grooming and hygiene standards. 2. Ensure that concierge is familiar with the physical layout and immediately surroundings of his/her location. 3. Concierge behavior must be firm and determined and polite, Courtesy is essential and arguments will not be tolerated. 4. Anticipate potential issues that may occur and take appropriate action to prevent them from taking place. 5. Do not socialize or interact with customers or service providers more than what is required for the effective performance of a concierge’s duty. 6. Accepting of gifts and tips from customers and service providers is strongly discouraged. 7. Do not sleep while on duty. 8. Do not smoke while on duty. 9. Do not consume alcohol or any other unauthorized drugs or unperceived performance reducing medication while on duty. The above mentioned should also not be consumed before commencement of duty for such a duration which will have an effect or influence during performance of his/her duties. 10. Do not leave the reception without a valid reason and in situations where such a requirement arises, a proper signage needs to be placed on the reception desk and purpose has to be registered in the log book. 11. Ensure fire escape routes within the area of responsibility are unobstructed and that firefighting equipment is serviceable and in working condition. 12. Ensure you are familiar with basic fire prevention and response procedures and systems, with special consideration for the equipment maintained within and immediately surrounding the post. 13. Ensure safety hazards within the area of responsibility are promptly reported for immediate rectification. 14.
