We are currently recruiting for a Pest Control Coordinator to join our IFS team at Transguard Group.

 

Scope

 

Oversee all the work done by the pest control workers through knowledge of the common practices, tools and terminology used to control pests and weeds, through knowledge of the use and characteristics of pesticides, knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with the work.

Oversee the safekeeping of pest control training materials, equipment and aids, plan, schedule and conduct of Health & Safety courses for services staff in the pest control.

 

Responsibilities

Management

 

  • Work delegation & management of resources to get maximum output form technicians
  • Inspect buildings and the surrounding environment for signs of pest infestation
  • Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests
  • Estimate the cost of services rendered to clients or customers
  • Use different pest control methods such as the setting of traps or baits to remove or kill pests
  • Must be detailed-oriented and be able to follow detailed instructions in applying pesticide to avoid harm to the client and self
  • Prepare PPM plans and track reactive calls and follow up requests
  • Implement plans with an aim to reduce pest’s infestation
  • Identify opportunities to sell additional company services and products
  • Build positive, strong relationships with clients. Work to exceed client expectations. Make suggestions to clients on how to avoid pest problems when appropriate. Report to client contact person before and after providing pest prevention services. Whenever possible, explain actual or potential problems to clients face-to-face. Manage clients through provided company technology
  • Participate fully in training opportunities provided to enhance knowledge and to meet requirements for licensing

Communication

 

  • High level verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact with all stakeholders, including staff from a range of backgrounds
  • Must possess good customer service skills and be customer-focused 

Administration

 

  • High level administrative and organizational skills with an ability to prioritize competing demands and meeting deadlines
  • Liaise with the administrators for internal administration-related work

CAFM

 

  • Ability to use and implement CAFM technology in day-to-day operations

Inventory

 

  • Prepare maintenance requirements reports
  • Monthly consumables tracker
  • Materials arrangement for all teams

Technical

 

  • Identify and implement chemical mixtures required for various types of pests
  • Determine the kind of treatment required to eliminate a particular type of pest
  • Advise customers on the kind of treatment required to eliminate identified pests
  • Create site specific SOPs wherever required

Invoicing

 

  • Take care of the invoicing on time and accurately
  • Liaise with administrators on timely invoicing

Reporting

 

  • Ability to review and communicate monthly reports to clients
  • Create pest infestation report in line with authority requirements and templates
  • Strong ability to keep good records of worked hours and used chemicals

Skills

Knowledge – Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in the industry

Knowledge - Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Public Health, or Environmental Chemistry
  • Certification from any Emirate’s Municipality (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah…)

Technical skills

  • Knowledge of chemical machinery and materials
  • Knowledge of the different types of treatment
  • Aware of Dubai Municipality/Abu Dhabi Municipality guidelines and local authority regulations
