Electrician Helper

Transguard Group is currently recruiting for Electrician Helper for its Transportation division. The successful candidate will be responsible in carrying out duties as outlined.

In this role your responsibilities will include the following.

• Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas
• Assists Master Electrician in repairing automotive vehicle electrical equipment
• Disassembles electrical units, such as starters and generators using hand tools
• Removes and replaces defective parts, such as armatures, brushes, and wires
• Washes parts
• May lift motors using mechanical hoist
• Performs Basic Preventive Maintenance services on cars, vans, buses
• Performs oil changes and lubes
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Assist in performing a variety of Electrical repairs, maintenance work and servicing of motorized equipment
• Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and calibrate
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment
• Cleans working areas after repair work is completed

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience.

• Physical fit
• Basic knowledge using Diagnostic Tools
• Able to endure long hours of work, as work hours is not limited
• Must be detail-oriented
