Scope
To attend to guest’s requirements by taking food and beverage orders, delivering food and beverages whilst anticipating the needs of the customer and ensuring that the guest experience is of the highest standard.
Responsibility
- Maintain full knowledge of the menu and possess the ability to give detailed descriptions of the dishes, including an understanding of the wine list.
- Ensure food orders are correctly taken from guests and all orders are entered accurately into the Point of Sales System
- Ensure that silver and crockery stock control is properly stocked and inspected prior to service
- Ensure that table presentation is correctly maintained according to restaurant specific standards.
- Maintain the station ensuring it is correctly set up and clean at all times also ensuring that the Runner tasks are correctly completed.
- Provide friendly, excellent customer and food and beverage service to all guests
- Provide as a strong link between kitchen and service areas
- Deliver food and beverage items to customers
- Consistently monitor quality of food and beverage being served and report to the supervisor or assistant outlet manager
- Manage customer complaints and suggestions and escalate any issues to the Restaurant Manager if required
- Communicate clearly, professionally and concisely to both customers and the team

- Must have basic computer skills

- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or Essential Food Safety Certificate (UAE accreditation)
- Basic Health & Safety Awareness
- Safe manual handling techniques
- Solid Understanding of both the company/client policies and procedures
