Transguard Group is currently recruiting GENERAL ASSISTANT for it's Hospitality division. The successful candidate will be part of an exciting team, responsible for carrying out duties as outlined.
Purpose
To ensure that the company facility, premises and equipment are cleaned daily as per the prescribed hygiene and safety standards thereby ensuring a clean, food safe, pest free physical environment.
Job Description
- Clean office premises, kitchen area and equipment as per prescribed hygiene standards to ensure that it is food safe and pest free.
- Check the cleanliness of all areas and follow the daily schedule thereby cleanliness at all times.
- Ensure safe and proper usage of the cleaning equipment as also the area / equipment being cleaned.
- Ensure that all cleaning activity is undertaken only after putting on protective clothing / gear as per the safety standards.
- Collect garbage from specified areas and dispose off at designated area as per defined methodology.
- Clean work area and restock chemicals after obtaining prior approval.
- Ensure that the basic facilities (like water taps etc) are functional; inform Team Member or Team Leader within the team in case of a malfunction who will in turn inform maintenance / other departments if necessary.
- "Undertake specific cleaning duties and perform additional tasks as directed by the superiors."
- Apply the QHSE policy / system established in accordance with international standards and execute all responsibilities according to the department work procedures while reflecting the policy.

Criteria
- Grade 10 / Secondary School Education
- 1 year previous experience in a similar position would be an added advantage.
- Willingness to do the work and to stand long period of time.
- Able to work unsupervised, able to follow instructions.
Criteria for employment
- Transguard English Level Test - should score Level 2+ in writing, speaking and a score of 32 - 41 on TG English diagnostic test
- Agree to conform to professional grooming standards as outlined below:
- No body odour
- Wear clean uniform
- Clean shaven
- Have neat hair cut
- Short side burns (mid ear)
- Will not wear: jewelry, heavy makeup, false eyelashes, false nails / extensions, in food handling area
Training related criteria
Regulatory Training (All Regulatory Training will be provided by Transguard and the participants to be competent prior to being nominated for Mandatory Training)
- Occupational Health and Safety (including Manual Handling and Machine Safety)
- Food Safety Level 2 (Certificate in Level 2 Food Safety recognised by Dubai Municipality)
- COVID-19 Training
Mandatory Training (All job specific mandatory training will be provided by Transguard)
