Graduate Sustainability Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Sustainability Engineer to join our team at Tranguard Group. The candidate is to be based out of UAE.

Scope-

The Graduate Sustainability Engineer will assist & participate in organization’s Sustainability programs. He/ She must provide support in research and analysis by applying both design + technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs as per sustainability programmes, deliverables and timelines.
He/ she needs to provide on-site assistance to ensure that all the process, equipment, products and services are environmentally friendly and in line with government & international sustainability standards. Graduate Sustainability Engineer will contribute to business process change and will assist in all Energy, Water & Waste related projects.

Job Responsibility-

• Provide support in development of social responsibility policies and help implement them.
• Assist in monitoring the social impact of CSR programs and ongoing projects.
• Actively be involved in developed programs that address environmental issues affecting operations and processes.
• Assist in reducing operational resource consumption, and work at ground with client’s team members.
• Involved in branding strategies.
• Continuously coordinate with leadership team to facilitate participation in new projects in the areas of CSR & Community Volunteer Program.
• Contribute to Annual Corporate Social Responsibility report and CSR website.
• Must be able to assist in Performing Energy Audits as per ASHRAE Standards.
• Must be able to assist in Measuring and Verifying Energy, Carbon Emissions & Water consumption data.
• Promoting environmental initiatives and driving best practice on site as per defined strategy.
• Developing presentations and communications for BU including editing sustainability newsletter.
• Manage Environmental projects on site (e.g. Recycling programs, energy reduction initiatives and other similar programs).
• Highlight any on-site issues.
• Prepare the operational & performance parameters baselines of each project to qualify its sustainability impact.
• Checks and ensures the quality of the model, survey and study teams for accuracy to reporting requirements.
• Under Supervision, performs work following the agreed-upon budget and schedule.
• Develops calculations, sketches, diagrams, and Environmental project models as per specific discipline requirement and exports draft and final environmental reports under the supervision of an experienced Engineer – Environment/ Environmental Scientist.
• Coordinates with other discipline Engineers/ Scientists as applicable for the continuity of the Environmental study process.
• Operational Excellence & Service Delivery to client.
• Regular engagement with Sustainability Engineer to contribute to delivering project priorities and deliverables.
• Undertaking and supporting environmental sustainability duties including site inspections and audits.
• When required, collects and analyses information from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project data sets.
• Ability to analyse detailed complex information and identify key messages to produce executive summaries.
• Collecting and benchmarking industry good practices.
• Ability to influence individuals to achieve sustainability targets.
• Effective team working skills to understand and act on tasks allocated.
• Participates in implementation of project functions.
• Provide accurate, timely and consistent reporting to ensure measures and metrics can be reviewed on an on-going basis.
• Participates in study evaluation progress and coordination meetings.
• Work in partnership with S.E to ensure policies and procedures are carried out correctly as per Sustainability Strategy.
• Check data capture is accurate and is set up appropriately for reporting metrics to Sustainability Engineer.
• Demonstrate commitment to implement fully all HSE Policies and Procedures throughout the areas of responsibility.
• Ensure his/her appropriate training, risk assessment and understand their responsibilities to be resourceful in carrying out own duties.
• Set a personal example on all matters of Health and Safety and Environment.
• Engage with industry professionals to keep up to date with new trends and technology.
• Perform Life Cycle Analysis.
• Maintain assets and records through asset tagging and bookkeeping.
• Understanding of LEED, Green Building Guidelines and willing to work towards certifications.
• Implement defined strategy to reduce Carbon Emissions towards net zero targets.
• Collect monthly waste, water and energy data.
• Assist in implementation of Environmental management system.
• Providing support on wider sustainability and resource efficiency projects.

Knowledge - Education

• Graduation in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, FM or
• Sustainability, Business, CSR)
• LEED Certified
