Head of Airport Operations

Job Description

Transguard is currently recruiting for a Head of airport operations to join our Client's team, based out of their company headquarters in Dubai.

Job Purpose

  • The job holder is responsible for the planning process and tactical operations of the airport operations. He/she will analyse and define requirements and manage support requirements scheduled and ad-hoc across the infrastructure both landside and airside.
  • The job holder will be responsible for all planning related to the operations, including long term and up to the current IATA season. As part of the role, detailed analysis will be required on historic and current performance to support longer term planning and processes improvement. He / She will be responsible for filling in data gaps that can’t be obtained through existing measurement by way of bespoke surveys.
  • The job holder is to proactively work with stakeholders to define future service standards for company on which new facilities are based. He/ She will investigate opportunities to improve capacity and tactical operations through process improvements and communicate effectively to the relevant business sponsor and delivery team for development and implementation.
  • The individual is also responsible for highlighting potential constraints which may impact the declared capacity and ensuring relevant mechanisms are in place to prevent demand from exceeding capacity for seasonal capacity declarations for company's facilities at DWC and DXB.
  • The individual should ensure that airport processes and operational requirements can be adequately met and modelled to meet growth forecasts all the while feeding analysis proactively to the business to drive the long-term improvements.

Job Accountabilities

  • Translate scenarios and target service levels into tactical requirements
  • Responsible to manage a team of 8 individuals in their output.
  • Accountable for his own P&L
  • Analyse, develop and continually review service propositions that will drive the process and ensure that all future developments are aligned with or exceed service standards.
  • Develop, deliver and maintain SLAs with key stakeholders who influence the utilisation of company’s assets to ensure maximum value is realised.
