Job Description
- Perform daily vehicle checks prior to departure and carry out routine maintenance.
- Receive consignments to be delivered, and check for information on recipients, names, addresses, telephone numbers, and delivery instructions.
- Sort consignments to be delivered according to coordinator instructions.
- Check delivery route departure
- Load vehicles with consignments, ensuring consignments are secured for transit.
- Follow the predetermined routes for delivering and collecting consignments.
- Always arrive on time for delivery or collection, escalate delays to Coordinator.
- Check in with coordinator after completing deliveries and collections.
- Monitor consignments being handled for any signs of hazardous or dangerous goods.
- Collect and sort items along assigned delivery and collection routes
- Obtain client signatures or e-signatures as proof of delivery or collection
- Communicate with internal and external clients by telephone to deliver verbal messages
- Receive consignments and when necessary
- Unload consignments being handled for any signs of hazardous or dangerous goods.
Skills
- UAE valid driving license- Heavy vehicle (4)
- Minimum of months delivery experience within the UAE
- Basic English 2 verbal and written skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Clear english communication skill
- Hindi & Arabic language is an advantage
- Clean,hygienic & well groomed
- Flexible demonstrating a ‘ Can do’ attitude
