Kitchen Steward

Transguard Group is currently recruiting for Kitchen Stewards to join for its Hospitality division. The successful candidate will be part of an exciting team, responsible for carrying out duties as outlined.

In this role, your responsibilities include the following;

• Emptying rubbish bins from the Kitchen area regularly
• Cleaning and sanitizing all equipment including all rubbish bins from food production and service areas
• Ensuring all crockery, pots, pans cutlery etc. are washed, cleaned, and maintained properly using specific chemicals and kitchen machinery safely
• Washing, scrubbing kitchen walls, floors, and kitchen areas regularly
• Cleaning kitchen machinery filters and hoods regularly to maintain equipment to the highest standards
• Arranging all silverware, crockery, pots and pans etc. in the correct storage areas
• Reporting all accidents and breakages to the Chief Steward
• Working in a safe manner and abide by the Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and Standards
• Adhering to Food & Safety Hygiene Standards (HACCP)
• Complying with specific guidelines and procedures related to chemicals and cleaning materials
• Carrying out any other duties as instructed by the shift Supervisor/senior

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience;

• School Leaver with EPT Level 2-
• Energetic and must have good personal hygiene standards
• Team player who is well organized with the ability to work under time constraints and pressure
• Physically capable to undertake manual labor
• Completed Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or Essential Food Safety Certificate is desirable
