Master Mechanic

Transguard Group is currently recruiting for Master Mechanic for its Transportation division. The successful candidate will be responsible in performing repair works and maintenance for cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles.

In this role your responsibilities will include the following.

• Guide and assist Mechanics/Mechanic Helpers
• Collect information on vehicle history, problem with the vehicle, and/or known maintenance or repairs required
• Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer diagnostic equipment
• Performs tests on specific parts and systems to determine whether they are operating properly
• Examines critical parts and systems using standard checklists
• Plans repairs and timetables for completion; provides customers with time and cost estimates
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, Engine Overhauls, and other mechanical parts
• Conducts post-repair testing and diagnostics
• Test drives vehicle to confirm proper operation, that repairs have been made properly, and that problems have been resolved
• Performs other related duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience.

• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair
• Proficient with related computer diagnostic equipment and software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to visually diagnose mechanical issues
• Able to read service and repair manuals
• Able to read work orders
• Able to perform repairs in a timely fashion
• Must have valid UAE Driving License
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must have Master technician certification or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience is required
• Must be physically fit
