Transguard Group is currently recruiting for Mechanic Helper for its Transportation division. The successful candidate will be responsible in performing repair works and maintenance for cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles.
In this role your responsibilities will include the following.
- Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas
- Performs preventive maintenance services on cars, vans, buses
- Performs oil changes and lubes
- Assists mechanics with repairs
- Performs tire changes
- Cleans work area, tools, and equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Assist in performing a variety of mechanical repairs, maintenance work and servicing of motorized equipment
- Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Cleans working areas after repair work is completed
- Performs a variety of mechanical repairs, maintenance work, and equipment servicing of motorized equipment
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and calibrate
- Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies and makes routine adjustments where necessary
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
