Network Administrator- ICT

Transguard Group is now looking to recruit a qualified Network Administrator to join the IT team. As a Network Administrator- ICT, you will assume the responsibilities for designing, organising, modifying, installing, and supporting the company network and communication infrastructure. The scope also includes service desk support tasks.

In this role your responsibilities will include the following:

• Installing, supporting and monitoring LANs and WANs (including infrastructure vendor management) for Transguard HQ, remote offices, and staff accommodations.
• Responsible for the operation, maintenance and control of the telephone system.
• Managing data centres and all types of communications including M2M, leased line, ADSL, MPLS.
• Implementing network security and monitoring network capacity and reporting on a monthly basis.
• Managing the mobile device management (MDM).
• Managing and maintaining the Aruba Clear pass (NAC), F5 appliance (reverse proxy SSL VPN) and web proxy (filtering).
• Conducting failover testing.
• Maintaining the network inventory.
• Securing and maintaining the corporate wireless infrastructure.
• Implementing and administering of QOS service .
• Installing and maintaining network hardware and software accordingly with vendor best practices. 
• Analysing and isolating network issues.
• Monitoring networks to ensure security and availability to users.
• Evaluating network performance and making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintaining integrity and security of the network.
• Designing and deploying new networks.
• Assigning configuration of authentication and authorisation of directory services.
• Responsible for perimeter firewalls, cryptography systems, and all network host security activities.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation describing network topology
• Working with management to determine network resource requirements and budget
• Managing ICT procurement process from beginning to end (PQR/PR/PO); handing over GRN, delivery notes and invoice to Finance.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Experience in IT infrastructure, platforms and devices 
• Knowledge in information security and network/application protection
• Expertise in troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis
• Excellent knowledge in telecommunications infrastructure, platforms and devices, technical documentation and drawings.
• Advanced Microsoft Office application skills
