Job Description

Transguard Group is the UAE’s most trusted business support and outsourcing provider and has a large, dynamic and culturally diverse workforce with 50,000 employees!  We are currently recruiting for a Officer - Graphic Design for our trusted client in Aviation industry to be based out of their headquarters in Abu Dhabi. 

Job Purpose-

The Organization is seeking candidates who have creative flair, a strong understanding of layouts and typography, who are capable of producing imaginative designs that not only communicate to an audience, are passionate about storytelling and creating beautiful and memorable graphic design solutions.
The applicant shall work both individually using their own initiative, and as part of a team environment – collaborating with other members of the design team and project management to drive graphic design components of a project through from concept to on site completion (including artwork), liaising with client and production teams alike. The applicant must have the ability to take creative and technical direction and feedback, and able to work with high attention to detail, consistency and accuracy

Job Responsibilities-

Key Accountability: Graphic Identity & Documentation

Assemble and create presentations ranging from powerful pitch decks that can persuasively sell strategic concepts, to specification documents at artwork stage. Key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting the Head- Experience & Design and VP - Design:

  • Compiling creative pitches and business reporting / documentation
  • Undertaking project research as required
  • Creating concept design graphics
  • Creating and compiling illustration briefs
  • Producing graphic prototype samples
  • Assisting with management of graphic scope of works
  • Site attendance to check graphic project progress as required
  • Co-ordination with the studio design team regarding graphic requirements within a project.
  • Assisting with ad hoc graphic design and support requests from the studio team
  • Other duties as may reasonably be required or requested.

Key Accountability: Soft Skills

  • Demonstrate a high sense of accountability with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be quality oriented and have a desire to deliver high quality work on time and on budget
  • Collaborate and coordinate efforts with internal stakeholders and ensure 3D visual consistency throughout organization.
  • Keep up to date with latest industry trends and ensure their dissemination within the team
  • Providing guidance and leadership to members of the team

Key Accountability: Document Review & QA/QC

  • Manage and own the design stage reviews. Responsible to make, and enable, well informed design decisions on presentation & documents that will positively impact the audience experience

Key Accountability: Future Thinking

  • Assist in the development of a data & information presentation strategy with the VP and Head of Design. This will include evaluating future trends within the graphic design sector and preparing business concepts for how innovative technologies & techniques should be applied to the design studio.

Key Accountability: Project Control & Guidelines Development

  • Develop, publish and control internal design standards / guidelines to ensure the uplift of the documentation & presentation skills with the organization design studio.

Skills

  • Higher Diploma/Diploma in Graphic Design / Interior Design / Commercial / Hospitality
  • Professional Qualifications/Regulatory/Certification Requirements: Experienced Officer - Graphic Design with minimum 5 years demonstrable professional experience, Commercial & Hospitality design experience preferred
  • 5-7 years of Industry Experience in Graphic Design / Architectural / Interior Design

Tools and Systems Experience:

  • Exceptionally high standards in the preparation & presentation of architectural / interior / design reports & presentations
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills (visual, verbal and written)
  • Storytelling via graphic design
