Transguard Group is hiring for Pool Attendants to join in one of the leading Hotel and leisure destinations in the UAE.
The role of a Pool Attendant will be supporting the qualified Lifeguards on duty to monitor the well-being of guests both in and out of the water. Pool Attendants are responsible for enforcing established rules, complying with regulations, maintaining a professional image whilst on duty, setting up and managing the cleanliness and safety of the Hotel Pool areas. The incumbent will not be performing any rescues or CPR, however all Pool Attendants must have the ability to swim and will undertake a swim test and water treading test as part of the selection process.
In this role, your responsibilities include the following.
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Supporting the Lifeguards whilst on duty by protecting and ensuring customer safety and enforcing safety regulations at all times
- Providing instructions to swimmers
- Setting up the pool areas with equipment as required and manage the overall pool area’s cleanliness & safety
- Assisting guests as and when required
- Wiping down tables and chairs and attending to guests as required
Skills
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Must have 12 months experience (preferably in UAE) as a Pool Attendant and be able to provide 2 references from previous employers
- Able to engage with customers and must have strong English communication skills (verbal & written) & strong interpersonal skills
- Must be physically fit with the ability to swim a minimum of 200m and water tread for 2 minutes
- No visible tattoos
- Willing to undergo a practical swimming assessment
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to tolerate cold and hot weather, plus cold water
