Transguard is now looking to recruit a Procurement Manager for our Transguard Living division. The procurement manager will be responsible for sourcing channels ranging from subcontractors’ packages, preferred suppliers, emergency ad hoc requirements and the management of our store’s facility. TG Living has a broad range of clients across the UAE and an even broader range of purchasing requirements.
In this role your responsibilities include the following:
- Working closely with the Operations Manager and the Control Room Manager on all procured items, ensuring exceptional levels of communication regarding delivery dates, issues, and resolutions
- Managing the end-to-end process for all materials and subcontractor procurement, including estimation stage through to purchase and delivery.
- Data driven, proactive approach to forecasting supplies, store stocks and van stocks based on current and historical trends
- Completing all procurement in line with our agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and proactively managing any deviations or issues that arise during the process
- Managing JIT ordering system and 6s management of van stocks Ensuring predictive monitoring of stock levels through min/max Lean philosophy
- Maximising utilisation of space and constantly seeking to improve stock turn ratio.
- Liaising with the TG procurement team on supplier agreements in order to ensure all KPIs and SLAs are met.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Procurement background
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement in a similar industry
- Extensive knowledge of UAE supply chain
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing/LSS is advantageous
