Transguard Workforce Solutions is now recruiting for a Pavilion General Manager for one of the prominent Pavilions in Expo 2021. In this role, the Pavilion General Manager is responsible for initiation, implementation, and support of strategic programmes and complex large-scale projects for the said pavilion. The job holder will be in charge of defining the project scope, creating, and managing the project plan, and providing direction to all members of the project team. The role will be ultimately responsible for planning and coordinating activities of individual projects and overall programmes in complex client stakeholder environments to ensure that the goals are accomplished.
In this role your responsibilities include the following:
- Managing daily operations that support and implement the current programme/project objectives
- Developing an effective plan of action for running the project from inception to completion
- Strategically map-out a programme schedule and timeline, and ensure it is followed
- Overseeing and advising programme staff in various tasks and ensure the smooth and proper functioning of current programmes Defining responsibilities and setting direction for the project team Weekly reporting/recording for company (including resource forecast & Tempo)
- Developing project proposals and statements of work leveraging experience of key discipline leads (including Consulting, Concept & Design, Experience Architecture, Technology)
- Responsible for the quality of the project deliverables and communications
- Developing work systems and processes that effectively drive productivity
- Responsible for the quality of the project deliverables and communications
- Contributing to marketing initiatives to increase awareness of the project
- Preparing and maintaining budgets
- Assessing and managing programme risks along with providing strategic vision and strong leadership while directing the Pavilion programme
- Setting goals for the programmes and tracking progress, setbacks, and overall performance
- Seeking to maximise revenue across multiple projects/accounts through project delivery (profit margin)
Skills
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Project management champion with a keen eye to detail
- Extensive experience managing projects for government clients, including projects in a events/exhibition management
- Experience developing project plans using MS Project, PRINCE 2 and/or Agile project methodologies
- PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner accreditation preferred
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Experience in managing project teams of 15-20 people or more to successful conclusion
