Senior Manager - Construction Services

Job Description

Transguard Group are now looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Construction services

 As a Senior Account Manager  - Construction Services you will be responsible for managing a team of individuals responsible for revenue delivery and operational excellence across the assigned customer account portfolio. The individual will be responsible for delivering the targeted revenue and gross contribution, project managing client mobilisations, day-to-day delivery of operations, contribute to the growth of account portfolio and manage a team of individuals, responsible to ensure all team members are fully engaged and optimized.

The ideal candidates will display:

Commercial Management          

  • Ensuring customer accounts are delivering to budgeted targets, revenue and gross contributions, contributing to the department P&L.
  • Accountability to ensure customer accounts are accurately forecasted and budgeted is accurately captured, reported and delivered.
  • Managing commercial contracts with existing clients, monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the portfolio of contracts
  • Ensuring the Account Team understand the commercial agreement and manage the service delivery within the timelines and deliverables of the contract
  • Monitoring the financial performance of the account portfolio, contract profitability and control on spend, resource allocation and budget management
  • Monitoring all contracts to ensure these are commercially compliant, working with Head of Construction Services and Legal team to identify and remedy breeches
  • Ensuring all management reporting is delivered in line with the reporting matrix and to the deadlines set within the schedule

 Operational Delivery

  • Responsible for the delivery of Operations team including daily operations, client contracts and outsourced workforce within the Construction Services department.
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure are conducted within the boundaries of the client contract and adhere to all polices and SOPs
  • Ensure all mobilisations, demobilisations and daily operations are executed to plan, completed within the agreed timeframes and all KPIs are met
  • Key responsibility to ensure all time and attendance is managed as a priority and ensure zero-error in processing
  • Participate in the project mapping for all existing and new clients is maintained and submitted to the planning team

 Customer Management

  • Management the key contacts and relationship within your account portfolio, ensure the account is full managed and relationships are developed at every level.
  • Providing ideas on growth initiatives to maximize the potential opportunities with new clients and contacts
  • Ensuring all commercials are within the bounds of the contracts and billing accurately reflects all terms and conditions
  • Effective debtor management across the Account Portfolio ensure risk profiles are fully secured with all clients and decisive actions are taken where necessary to protect the business

 Continuous Improvement           

  • Continuous improvement of internal processes and provide efficient solutions
  • Inspire and work with the team and others to create a successful Business Support Function
  • Review and evaluate processes within the department and identify opportunities to improve

 

Leadership         

  • Support all management team activities in line with Transguard’ Vision and Values, delivering specific and measurable aims, goals and targets for all team colleagues. Monitor and review teams performance, using the performance models available from the HR Team, come up with ideas for improving performance.
  • Oversee the day to day operations of all direct reports ensuring goals are communicated, understood & met.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members to ensure everyone understands their role and tasks and can act on them efficiently
  • Ensure team have the skills, capabilities and support to do their roles effectively
  • Ensure a smooth operational service is provided at all times to the business, taking into consideration annual leave and absence
  • Ensure the team provide accurate, timely and consistent reporting to ensure measures and metrics can be reviewed on an on-going basis
  • Deal with all escalated issues in conjunction with direct reports to coach and enhance their capabilities
  • Conduct 1:1s with direct reports

 

 

 

Skills

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Minimum 10 years in the construction industry
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a management role
  • Degree from a reputable university
  • Knowledge of the full deployment lifecycle, mobilisation and deployment
  • Knowledge of financial accounts and summaries; requirements to align with each IFS Solution.
  • Strong and current awareness of external trends and best practices
  • Financial management of profit and loss statements
  • Management Skills
  • Ability to develop and manage Budgets
