Transguard is currently looking for a Senior Manager- Delivery Solutions for our Aviation and Logistics division. As the Senior Manager Delivery Solutions, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Transguard Delivery operation. This will encompass both internal and external customers covering delivery & collection, last mile and fulfillment center services. The job holder will assume overall responsibility for the client portfolio for revenue delivery, account management and operational excellence across the assigned customer account portfolio. The individual will be responsible for delivering the targeted revenue and gross contribution, project managing client mobilisations and day-to-day delivery of operations.
In this role, your responsibilities include the following:
- Developing the account portfolio, through new business and organic growth, assuming full commercial responsibility
- Act as the business lead for Logistics and Delivery including last mile, B2B, and B2C operations
- Understanding the commercial aspects of the contracts and monitoring the management of the service to ensure delivery within the boundaries of the contracts.
- Ensuring customer account portfolios are delivered to budgeted targets, revenue and gross contributions
- Ensuring all contracts are commercially bound and provide clear direction on contract renewals, identifying and securing preferred commercial terms
- Working closely with the legal and commercial teams to be able to provide clear direction on actions throughout the term of contract relating to any breach and any actions required to remedy
- Responsible for management of monthly reports with operational data to support the review of the financial performance of the contract scorecard
- Ensuring that monthly billing and invoices are prepared, delivered and paid within DSO targets and vendor SL
- Devising suitable operational models for each individual contract and delivering on these models
- Managing fleet optimization through cross utilization of assets and manpower
- Leading development and deployment of the strategy and customer plans relating to safe working environment, health and safety and people.
- Evaluating proposed and required changes to managed solutions and manpower services identifying financial, personnel and operational performance implications prior to confirmation and implementation of service changes and manage change process as appropriate.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Proven work experience in Delivery and Logistics in a senior role.
- Specialist knowledge of Delivery and Logistics industry with high degree of initiative, creativity and wide scope for discretion.
- Business development experience with their own portfolio of contacts and/or client base.
- Expert knowledge of local and UAE wide deliveries
- Knowledge of API, Web-hook and URL integrations
- Knowledge of pricing within their current business, cost base and pricing model for existing P&L.
- Familiarity with the end-to-end process of 3PL, Service Contractors, P2P deliveries and P2MP.
- Order Management experience, from booking manual and automated orders to dispatching resources.
- 5-10 years of industry experience with Logistics, Courier or Express Local Services.
