Senior Manager-Facilities Management

Job Description

The role is heavily focused on operational and service excellence delivered through a strategic approach.

Scope

To run the Integrated Facility Services PMO which entails tracking all major (non BAU) projects across the organisation providing end to end project governance. Ensuring the PMO performance targets are aligned to IFS strategic objectives and that projects adhere to best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide full governance & control over projects.
  • Establish frameworks for robust project management, including: project management methodologies, tools, approach to project team organisation structures, risk identification and escalation processes and project decision making responsibilities.
  • Monitor compliance with policies and standards.
  • To manage multiple project initiatives within the department concurrently.

Project Tracking and Monitoring

  • Track and provide project status and audit reports
  • Manage the risk, issue and change resolution process and work with other leaders to take corrective action as necessary.
  • Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope.
  • To manage and monitor the budget to ensure that the project is delivered within agreed costings.

Project Prioritization

  • Coordinate the project prioritization process to provide Senior Management with the information they need to assess which proposals have the highest potential value, impact and strategic alignment
  • Interface regularly with COO to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenge

Leadership 

  • Define team structure and roles, assign individuals to projects
  • To provide leadership and technical guidance to the IFM Project Management Team in order to deliver projects to time, cost and quality.
  • Ensure team have the skills, capabilities and support to do their roles effectively
  • Ensure the team provide accurate, timely and consistent reporting to ensure measures and metrics can be reviewed on an on-going basis
  • Deal with all escalated issues in conjunction with team member to coach and enhance their capabilities
  • Conduct 1:1s with team members
  • Conduct all performance management for team (with the assistance of an HRM where necessary)
  • Provide learning and development opportunities for team members to match both their career aspirations and the requirements of the business

Inspire and work with the team and others to create a successful PMO

 
















 

 

Skills

 

  • Degree Qualification in Business Management or similar
  • Project Management Certification (Prince 2, APM)
  • Must have in excess of 5 years managerial and or technical experience in successfully managing and delivery projects

    Professional Association with Project Management Institute (PMI) is desirable
