Senior Manager- Health, Safety and Environment

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager- Health, Safety and Environment to join our team at Tranguard Group. The candidate is to be based out of Dubai.

Scope-

As Senior Manager- HSE, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, communication, and coordination of all environmental, health, and safety programs for the business. This position will develop and provide technical direction on all HSE decisions, which bear critical importance to overall company objectives, operations, and profitability.

Responsibilities -

• Assuming full operational control and responsibility of the company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) strategy.
• Continually maintaining an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge, and preparedness across the company to create a culture that prioritizes effective HSE.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable local, national, and international HSE laws, regulations and codes of practice
  Maintaining working relationships with auditing bodies and professional agencies.
• Managing, coaching, and mentoring HSE team in delivering the Safety, Health & Environment function and provide advice and guidance to the Business Unit Teams
• Providing direction and support in the implementation of site-specific safety initiatives in IFS, MOS, Security, Aviation, and Cash.
• Working collaboratively with the organization’s training department to ensure all documentation, training, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Reviewing existing HSE policies and practices of the Company to ensure they are current and appropriate.
• Conducting hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments Analyses safety data/trends (internal and external) and providing direction for effective corrective and preventative action plans. 
• Provides direction and strategic planning to reduce the number of workplace injuries and lost time cases.
• Conducting internal audits to assure compliance to related HSE standards and practices throughout the organization.
• Providing insight and counsel to support the organization’s legal standing with respect to cases or external liability.
• Maintaining governance structures / processes to deliver strategic and operational goals and directing initiatives of continuous improvement.
• Develop and deliver HSE training and toolbox talks at all levels.
• Develop and roll out safety initiatives both generic and business unit / designation specific.

• Confidence and ability to flex the presenting and training style as per the audience of different levels across the business
• Excellent data analysis and excel skills
• Leadership experience of more than 5 years
• More than 10 years of experience in an HSE role within the UAE
• Must genuinely enjoy mentoring and developing others
• Business level risk assessment
• Prioritizing workload and areas of focus in terms of risk
• Optimizing resource of a small team to deliver monthly KPI’s and targets.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills
• Training content development and delivery experience
• Accredited HSE qualifications such as NBOSH or similar
