Senior Manager – HR Business Partners

Job Description

Transguard Group is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager to join the HR Business Partners team. The successful candidate will be able to lead, motivate and guide a team of HR specialists to provide commercially astute and relevant day-to-day collaborative and supportive HR service to the business. As the Senior Manager, you will be expected to facilitate the delivery of value-added HR partnering to management and employees, and act as the senior point of escalation for day-to-day people issues, providing professional advice and support across all aspects of people management. Working to support the HR Director to effectively manage the timely delivery of core people process and cycle plan activities, as well as contributing to the creative and progressive strategic people agenda.

As a Senior Manager, your responsibilities include the following:

  • Working with the senior business stakeholders throughout the business to proactively drive the people management agenda to support and enable business goals and objectives
  • Act as an advocate of the employee, employee champion and change agent
  • Providing leadership on project management for human resource initiatives as instructed / in collaboration with HRD.
  • Consulting with senior line management and provide daily HR guidance
  • Responsible for management reporting, analyzing trends and metrics within the HR department,
  • Act as the escalation point for resolving complex employee relations issues and addressing grievances
  • Leading the HRBP team to manage day-to-day HR operations. Ensures all advise is legally complaint with local laws and legislation and compliant with Transguard internal policy and procedure 
  • Responsible for managing the process of employee-relations and welfare issues.
  • Ensuring the timely and effective implementation of the people plan across the business, considering the wider HR agenda.
  • Working in collaboration with the Career Development Manager to embed talent management processes across all business units and providing thought-leadership on issues that may enhance a high-performance culture within the business
  • Leading on the implementation of people management programmes including, but not limited to; performance management (including disciplinary & grievance, investigations etc.)
  • Responsible for all management reporting across HRBP team (including but not limited to recruitment and off hiring, PIPs, payroll, Oracle, headcount) as well as collation of data for Management Performance Review (MPR), recruitment, HR MD functional, Individual Balance Scorecards and all other TG reporting tools.
  • Analysing and monitoring HR data and metrics to identify and understand meaningful trends and insights that can be used to enhance solutions, processes and initiatives to help address current challenges and avoid future ones
  • Controlling and maintaining data accuracy of all HQ HR data sources and systems, including tracking and management of approval workflows, systems amendments, employment category changes, VISA processes and all other in life employee life cycle data points
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all monthly payroll related activities from an HR control aspect (i.e. changes in pay, grading, function/job, reporting lines, end of service sign offs, offboarding approvals) are completed on time
  • Working collaboratively with payroll team to ensure smooth running of monthly payroll for HQ population
  • Maintaining and be able to provide guidance on, and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the legal requirements, internal and external, related to the day-to-day management of employees within the business, reducing legal risks, guaranteeing regulatory compliance, and most importantly enabling employee satisfaction, engagement and retention
  • Adhering to TG operating policies for HR activity, ensure responsibilities, deliverables and activities are operating in compliance with all standard operating procedures
  • Driving operational excellence on all activities by strictly adhering to and surpassing agreed KPIs
  • Maintaining Transguard policies and procedures in line with best practice and current legislation.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree in HR or related field (CIPD qual. advantageous)
  • Excellent understanding and application of UAE Labor Law
  • Minimum of 5 years in similar management position
  • Minimum 5 years of experience based in the UAE
