Senior Solution Architect - Technology- Aviation Industry

Transguard Group is the UAE’s most trusted business support and outsourcing provider and has a large, dynamic and culturally diverse workforce with 50,000 employees!  We are currently recruiting for a Senior Solution Architect - Technology for our trusted client in Aviation industry to be based out of their headquarters in Dubai.

Job Purpose-

Supervise a large number of virtual architects and provide Solution Architecture Governance to Company specific to the Technology and Cloud domain. Support the Technology Architecture process. Write guidelines in Technology and Cloud Architecture best practices. Manage and support the Solution Architecture toolsets for the Technology domain. Create and review solution designs and enforce the technology principles, policies and standards established by Enterprise Architecture Senior Management.

Job Accountabilities-

• Technology and Cloud Architecture Supervisory role: Mentor and provide guidance to Virtual Architects. Review and approve solution designs created in ADOIT, ADONIS, Sparx EA and Company's Confluence. Provide practice leadership, ensuring projects conform to principles, policies and standards as defined by the Enterprise Architecture Senior Management. Participate strategic projects as a Lead Technology / Cloud Architect. Author and provide Technology and Cloud Architecture Guidelines to a large team of Virtual Architects.
• Technology and Cloud Architecture Governance role: Govern and maintain technology architecture artefacts in a structured way using the toolsets ADOIT, ADONIS, Sparx EA and Confluence. Find gaps and risks in existing solutions and provide recommendations to the Enterprise Architecture Senior Management.
• Technology and Cloud metamodel support of the enterprise architecture (ADOIT and ADONIS) and solution architecture platforms (Sparx EA and Company's Confluence). In addition to managing the metamodel and configuration of these toolsets.

Technical Competencies-

• Strong network and data center knowledge with expert skills in routers, firewalls, load balancers, switches, routing protocols, IP addressing, network connections, application deployment models, server virtualization, containers / dockers, Kubernetes, security, databases, CI/CD pipelines, various programming languages. Ability to design and implement cloud infrastructure, platforms and applications.
• Modeling skills such as UML (Unified Modeling Language) and TOGAF / Archimate framework and notation.

Communication and Working Relationship-

• Good communication skills are required to engage all the teams to get the required information for the design work.

Professional Qualifications/Regulatory Requirements

• The Open Group TOGAF 9 Certification
• The Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA)
• Azure or AWS Cloud Architect Certification
• Security cert. (SABSA, CISSP, CISM, CISA etc.)

Core Activities Experience

• Producing and reviewing High Level Designs in UML
• IT Technology and Cloud Architecture

Tools and Systems Experience

• UML Tools (ex. Sparx Enterprise Architect) and EA Tools (ex. ADOIT, ADONIS)
