Transguard group is currently hiring a Software Engineer - Business Intelligence for one of the esteemed client based in Dubai. The candidate has the flexibility to work Onsite or Offsite.
In this role your responsibilities will include the following:
- Ability to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing BI Products like Reports, Dashboards and adhoc data extract complying with Business Technology coding standards and technical design.
- Developed, implemented analytic solutions that deliver demonstrable and sustainable value.
- Build effective reporting dashboards using Tableau and Grafana.
- Excellent data analysis and SQL skills
- Thorough understanding of Dataware house architectures (any of the following preferred: Star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and aggregation techniques)
- Extensive experience in reporting and business intelligence applications
- Strong knowledge of the OLAP and relational database concepts
- Proficient in writing SQL queries for reporting and data analysis
- Develop and deploy dashboards, visualizations and autonomous and real time reporting to be distributed to stakeholders via the BI reporting platform (Tableau & Grafana), web portal, mobile, tablet devices, widgets and email.
- The job holder should be able to critically assess the completeness of data and have strong
- analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, including report writing and presentation skills
- Full knowledge of software development process, problem solving, software documentation and software debugging
Skills
- Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards using Tableau and Grafana.
- Adding or Creating Dimensions, Measures and Calculations.
- Troubleshoot data issues, validate result sets, recommend and implement process improvements
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver quality results
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience on BI tools like Grafana, Tableau and Splunk
- Strong experience in Dashboard design and development
- Strong experience in writing SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
- Perform troubleshooting and provide resolutions to reporting issues
- Knowledge of the aviation industry and aviation solutions is preferable
