System Administrator -ICT (HQ)

Transguard Group is looking to recruit a qualified System Administrator to join the IT team. The System Administrator role requires to analyze, troubleshoot and maintain the corporate ICT Server Infrastructure. This includes cloud-based computing platforms and on-premises. The individual must participate in technical research to enable continuity innovation within the infrastructure and projects. The System Administrator will be accountable for the following domains: physical and virtual servers, storage, backup, and emails, cloud.

In this role your responsibilities will include the following:

• In-depth knowledge, implementation and operational skills in following areas [Datacenter Virtualization, Private and Public Cloud, Active Directory, Windows and Linux OS, Backup, replication, Servers & Storage, Microsoft System Center configuration manger, System center operation manager,Amzon and Microsoft Azure, Office 365,Sharepoint, Exchange, Email Security Gateways, Antivirus, Print Server / Access control]
• Design and implement reliable and cost-effective solutions to address enterprise business requirements.
• Responsible for implementation and operations of all systems related assignments.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Monitoring of Operating System and Server performance to recommend necessary system enhancements for optimum utilization of available resources and avoid any possible bottlenecks in day to day business.
• Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
• Apply revisions to host system firmware / patches and software. Works with vendors to assist in support activities.
• Responsible to keep infrastructure on latest recommended versions of software and hardware
• Meet with all stake holders to gather technical information and make action plans accordingly and seek ways to improve SLA/OLA with other functions & departments
• Manage and document configuration activities. Also maintain up to date inventory.
• Ensures system availability by periodic checks and standard routines. Recover and repair hardware or software failures.
• Develop and manage backup and restoration activities for disaster recovery strategy for all the systems.
• Implement Security policies with coordination of Information Security Function to secure system and ensure data is safe from viruses, un-authorized access, misuse and end users access according to their approved privileges.
• Familiarizing with and adhering to the information security policies and procedures along with the policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility;
• Protection of the issued equipment’s (e.g. laptops, mobile devices, etc.) against unauthorized access and damage;
• Responsible for clearing the desk from all the sensitive material and logging off or locking workstations at the end of the day and when leaving their desk;
• Shall report security incidents, suspected weaknesses in the security system, software malfunctions and/or failures to the information security team as soon as possible.

• 7-10 years of experience in a similar Position
• 12-15 years of experience in a similar Industry
• Degree in information systems or related field
• Mandatory certifications: MCSE, VMware Certified Professional, MCP, Veeam Certified Engineer,
• Optional Certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate
