Responsible for handling cargo within the assigned area of operations in the Cargo Terminal, achieving operational targets while ensuring safety and security compliance. The operator will be driving and operating a forklift and will be expected to use a Hand Held Terminal (HHT) where applicable and process all documents manually or by using systems provided.
- Report to TG and client supervisor any issues;
- Build up - to count the number of pieces, check Airway bill, prepare check sheet and follow the load plane;
- Break down - check the airway bill, count pieces and prepare the LCS (Location capture sheet) as per manifest;
- Observe the marking, labeling, packing, weight and dimension of the cargo. (Daily check with the supervisor of EMBARGO shipments);
- Retrieve the cargo from storage area, deliver high degree of attentiveness and speed to customer, and ensure a low level of defect;
- Ensure dispatch of export cargo as per unit weight system (UWS) to the aircraft in appropriate time as per the flight schedule given by forwarding import ULD's to the warehouse and coordinating with technical team.
Skills
All applicants must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma
- Excellent English language communication skills
- English Level 3
- Knowledge of basic computer applications
- Aviation industry experience will be an advantage
- Valid home country driving experience
