Transguard Group is currently recruiting for customer service focused individuals to join as Waiter / Waitress for it's Hospitality division. The successful candidate will be part of an exciting team, responsible for carrying out duties as outlined.
Purpose:
Prepare the serving area / dining area at an assigned event / location and ensure that all guests / customers are served in a professional, efficient and courteous manner to create a memorable dining experience
In this role, your responsibilities include the following;
- Welcome and communicate with guests / customer to present menu, help with recommendations, receive and place orders, and serve food and beverages in a professional / friendly manner. Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items offered by the assigned outlet to assist guests/customers with questions and special requests.
- Recognize customer dissatisfaction promptly and take action to resolve the situation according to individual level of responsibility and customer feedback / complaint procedures.
- Responsible for accurate cashiering / foreign exchange / POS transactions at the assigned outlet and comply with all laid down systems, policies and procedures of the Company.
- Ensure that the service area / outlet is kept clean and tidy at all times and that crockery / cutlery / tables are clean and arranged as per the standard defined procedure.
- Prepare and close the outlet according to standard opening and closing procedures and re-stock tableware and other supplies.
- Assist in collecting, loading and delivery of items to the outlets and perform other related duties as required.
- Apply the QHSE policy / system established in accordance with international standards and execute all responsibilities according to the department work procedures while reflecting the policy.
Skills
Criteria for employment
- Highest level of education attained; Diploma in Hospitality.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a 4* or 5* hotel as wait staff.
- Willingness to do the work and to stand long period of time.
- Able to work unsupervised
- Transguard English Level Test - should score Level 4 in writing, speaking and a score of 50 – 56 on Transguard English diagnostic test (IELTS 4.5)
Agree to conform to professional grooming standards as outlined below:
- No body odour
- Wear clean and complete uniform that confirms to the work area and role
- Clean shaven
- Have neat hair cut
- Short side burns (mid ear)
- Wear minimal jewelry and follow guidelines set by Transguard
- No visible tattoos
Training related criteria
Regulatory Training (All Regulatory Training will be provided by Transguard and the participants to be competent prior to being nominated for Mandatory Training)
- Occupational Health and Safety (including Manual Handling and Machine Safety)
- Food Safety Level 2 (Certificate in Level 2 Food Safety recognized by Dubai Municipality)
- COVID-19 Training
Mandatory Training (All job specific mandatory training will be provided)
