Job Description
Transguard Group is currently recruiting for Workshop Spare parts Storekeeper for its Transportation division. The successful candidate will be responsible in carrying out duties as outlined.
In this role your responsibilities will include the following.
- Manage the spare part store organization and space utilization
- Manage supervision of spare parts movements and control of stocks
- Providing details when needed about spare parts part numbers based on experience or catalogues
- Organize stock security
- Completion of the workshop documents according to SOPs
- Ensure and maintain proper inventory system and all parts issued/received are reflected immediately on to the stock card daily
- Records all shipments of spare parts incoming and checks with the packing list
- Provides information of any excess, lose and damaged item
- Take the responsibility of the stock only on the bases of an effective /documented and signed inventory
- Record properly the Receiving/ Issuing Slip / Stock
- Maintain Cards form & all other stock related documents
- Keep and file each document relative to a stock movement
- Ensure discipline and security in the Spare Part Department
- Report immediately stock movement information in the DMS system
- Establish strong working coordination with the workshop key staff
- Produce stock analyses, documents, and reports upon request of management.
- Inform immediately to the management of any fact that can have serious impact on the Spare Part Store activity
- Ensure that SOPs / management and monitoring tools / Systems related to spare parts management are functioning
- Ensure the proper reception of parts
- Ensure the proper storage of parts and the management of locations
- Ensure the proper delivery / transfer of parts
- Establish spare part purchasing request to recomplete the stock
- Maintain Minimum reordering Stock levels
- Ensure systematically stock reconciliation
- Inform the workshop Manager of any discrepancies / trace causes
Skills
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience.
- Knowledge of using electronic spare parts catalogues of various brands
- Able to read and understand standard workshop SOPs / tools and system
- Advanced notions in computer literacy / data processing (Word, Excel, Access)
- Good command of English
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience
- Excellent understanding on handling sensitive documents
- Good organizational skills
- Relevant trainings in mechanical works is an added advantage
- Relevant experience in supervising spare parts /tools/store of similar size is preferred
